1. SCOPE
Return and refund policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Machinesbuddy Technologies Private Limited (“Company” or “us” or “we” or “our”) and you (“user” or “you” or “your”). By accessing or using the Company’s website, services, and any other associated websites, mobile or digital applications, or any other services provided by the Company from time to time (collectively referred to as the “Platform” or “Machinesbuddy”), you expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms. The Platform is owned and operated by Machinesbuddy Technologies Private Limited having its registered office at Crizone business centre, 64/13, Mounasamy mutt street, Venkatapuram, Ambattur, Chennai – 600053.
Machinesbuddy (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), ensures hassle free and transparent return and refund process for products purchased from the platform [www.machinesbuddy.com]. This Policy applies to all purchases made through the Company’s official website, mobile application, authorized marketplaces, or any other approved sales channels.
This Returns and Refund Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and scope under which returns, replacements, and refunds shall be entertained. By placing an order on our platform, you agree to the terms of this Policy. It governs the process for requesting returns, replacements, or refunds for products including but not limited to machines, spare parts, tools, and accessories.
This Policy is an electronic record under the Indian data privacy laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000 read with rules and regulations made thereunder and will not require any physical, electronic, or digital signature by the Company or You. This Policy may change from time to time, your continued use of the Company’s Services is deemed to be acceptance of those changes.
2. RETURN AND REFUND ELIGIBILITY
Products return, replacement and refund can be considered under the following conditions after inspection and verification by suppliers.
2.1 WRONG/INCORRECT PRODUCT
- Product specifications (model, capacity, size or features) differ from the website.
- Variation in the product brand as indicated on the website. For generic brands or local products, the brand may differ based on the sellers.
- Product does not match the description on the website.
- Please be aware that for Machines, Spares and Tools, the colour of the product may differ due to manufacturing upgrades.
Above mentioned incorrect/wrong products are eligible for full replacement.
2.2 DAMAGED PRODUCT
If the product is delivered in a physically damaged condition, you may request:
- Full Replacement– if damage makes the product unusable.
- Part Replacement– if only specific parts/accessories are damaged.
- Refund– if replacement is not possible.
2.3 DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
If the seller sends a defective, used or heavily rusted product, machinesbuddy will offer a complete replacement, partial replacement or a refund as needed.
- Full replacement – Product is defective and it does not function as intended.
- Partial replacement – Parts and accessories are defective. The product will function properly if those defective parts and accessories are replaced.
- Refund – If replacement is not possible.
Missing parts: If the user received is an incomplete product, supplier will send the missing parts or accessories as necessary.
Non functional product: Non-functional products will be carefully assessed by the seller through phone or video calls or in person if required. Machinesbuddy will authorize the Return, Replacement or refund solely upon the seller’s approval.
3. GUIDELINES FOR RETURN/REPLACEMENT/REFUND PROCESS
- Customers are required to report any issues within 72 hours of product delivery to support@machinesbuddy.com.
- Customers should include an unboxing video along with any other pertinent images and videos.
- The resolution process for any tickets may necessitate emails, phone calls or video calls if deemed necessary.
- Customers are required to submit a re-packing video along with the original box to ensure that the product is securely packed, thereby preventing any damage or loss during the return transit. This will also assist our Courier Service provider in facilitating a prompt and timely pick-up.
- Subject to the availability of our courier service provider, products return pickup will be arranged from the registered address within 2-3 business days following the approval of the return.
- The product must remain in its unused and original condition, accompanied by the original box or packaging and any other accessories, if applicable.
4. PRODUCT IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN ON FOLLOWING CONDITION
- A ticket was raised after 72 hours after delivery.
- The customer no longer requires the product.
- The product has been damaged due to the customer’s mishandling.
- The customer is unable to utilize the product.
- The customer has mistakenly ordered the product.
- The customer is unwilling to repackage the product to commence the return process.
- Combo products cannot be returned individually.
- If the customer acquires the machine from another source and purchases spare parts from our platform, Machinesbuddy or the Machinesbuddy seller is not responsible for any fitting issues or size discrepancies.
5. ORDER CANCELLATION FROM MACHINESBUDDY
Machinesbuddy reserves the right to cancel an order under the following conditions-
- The registered address is incorrect or incomplete (including street number, landmark, pincode, etc.).
- The registered address falls within a “Non-Serviceable Zone” or is “Out of Delivery Coverage” as determined by our courier service provider.
- The registered address is not eligible for Pay on Delivery (POD) and the customer has placed an order with POD.
- In rare instances, if a product becomes “out of stock” with the seller, the order will be cancelled.
- There is suspected fraudulent activity.
6. ORDER CANCELLATION FROM CUSTOMER
- Machinesbuddy provides a complete refund if the customer submits a cancellation request prior to the pickup from the seller’s warehouse.
- Courier fees will be deducted if the customer submits a cancellation request after the shipment has been picked up and is prepared for dispatch, in accordance with standard or applicable courier charges.
- Once products reached customer and not available or refused to collect the product then nominal charges will be deducted from advance paid as courier, other handling and processing fee.

7. GUIDELINES FOR REFUND PROCESS
If the order was pre-paid, the refund will be processed through a payment gateway or any other online banking or electronic funds transfer system authorized by the Reserve Bank of India, and it will be credited to the same account from which the customer made the payment.
In the event of any refund related to an EMI transaction, any interest that has already been charged for that transaction is non-refundable under any circumstances. Although there will be no processing fee for utilizing the Machinesbuddy EMI option, the interest charged by the bank will not be refunded by Machinesbuddy.
For Pay on delivery (POD) transactions, we will only initiate an NEFT bank transfer to your bank account. Machinesbuddy requires the following bank account details:

It is the customer’s duty to ensure that all bank information is correct and current. Machinesbuddy will not be held responsible for any errors or issues that arise from incorrect information provided.
Refunds typically take 7-10 working days to appear in the customer’s bank account.
8. HOW TO CLAIM WARRANTY SERVICE
To initiate a warranty service claim, please adhere to the following steps:
- Contact the Warranty Provider/Seller: Warranty services and assistance are directly offered by the Warranty Provider/Seller. You can find the contact details for the Warranty Provider/Seller in the Warranty card or by reaching out to Machinesbuddy at support@machinesbuddy.com
- Provide Proof of Purchase: Make sure to have the original purchase receipt or invoice on hand to confirm your warranty eligibility. The warranty period commences from the date of purchase.
- Describe the Issue: Clearly articulate the problem you are encountering with the product. It is required to provide photos or videos to aid in the diagnosis.
- Follow Instructions: The Warranty Provider/Seller may issue specific instructions regarding shipping, returning, or troubleshooting the product. Please adhere to these guidelines to ensure a smooth warranty claim process.
- Assessment and Resolution: After the Warranty Provider/Seller receives the product, it will be evaluated to ascertain if the issue falls under warranty coverage. If it is confirmed, they will repair or replace the product at no extra cost to you, in accordance with the warranty guidelines.
- Repair: If the product is determined to be defective and repairable, the Warranty Provider/Seller will fix the product using new or equivalent-to-new parts.
- Replacement: If the product is found to be irreparably defective or cannot be repaired within a reasonable timeframe, a replacement product of the same or equivalent model will be provided.
NOTE: This warranty policy delineates the terms and conditions under which warranty support is extended by the Warranty Provider/Seller.
Machinesbuddy retains the absolute right, at its sole and exclusive discretion, to amend, modify, change, add, or remove any portion of this policy at any time, with or without prior written notice. Such modifications may encompass updates to terms, conditions, clauses, or any other elements of this policy. It is the buyer’s responsibility to stay informed of any changes.
9. GOVERNING LAW
This Policy shall be governed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in Chennai, Tamil nadu, India.
